The Corning Presslok™ UR2-BOX splice connector is a gel-filled, moisture-resistant butt splice designed for quick, reliable copper-wire connections in outside plant (OSP) and telecom applications. Built with Corning’s precision engineering, this connector simplifies splicing for technicians working with solid copper conductors between 26 and 19 AWG (0.4–0.9 mm).
Each UR2 connector allows two or three wires of different gauges to be joined in a single step without the need to strip insulation. The gel sealant inside the housing provides long-term environmental protection against moisture, corrosion, and vibration, ensuring a stable, low-resistance connection even in harsh outdoor conditions.
