Telco AIO Cabinets combine elements from our industry-leading active cabinets and our well-known FDH3000 passive cabinets. The result is a single, compact active/passive cabinet that immediately extends the reach and capacity of your R-OLT layer and expands your cabinet site or location options.
The unique design of the Telco AIO Cabinet provides the density to support most edge-of-network needs. One cabinet gives you an additional 20 kilometers of R-OLT reach and 100 km of backhaul, while enabling you to connect an additional 8,000+ customers without construction of a remote central office or hut.
Measuring just 48 in H x 48 in W x 28 in D, the cabinet’s compact footprint and low profile expand your available deployment options to include right-of-way locations such as intersections and easy-to-access roadsides.
Inside the Telco AIO Cabinet
The key to the Telco AIO Cabinet is an innovative design that packs an amazing amount of functionality and capabilities into a surprisingly small footprint. Its approximately 48-in height meets most local requirements while the compact footprint (≈48 in H x 48 in W x 28 in D) enables right-of-way deployments per municipal standards.
Fully loaded, the cabinet design can support up to 8,192 customers (XGS-PON). So, you can support more customers with fewer cabinets and deploy them where others can’t. Engineered with Gore vents, mesh drainage, and preinstalled foam grommets, it provides superior protection from the elements with available pad, vault, and riser mounting options. Telco AIO Cabinets are designed to comply with GR-487-CORE and GR-3125 specifications.
Active compartment features:
- Telco-style rack/OLT mounting solutions
- 19-in or 23-in racking with 11 or 13 RU of customizable open space
- Available with or without a rectifier/direct current (DC) power supply
- Customer OLT configurations could support up to 128 PON port/SGs
- 68 preinstalled SC/UPC to SC/APC patch cords for split/passthrough via provided F2 distribution cable
- Includes 1x 15-amp GFCI outlet and interior LED lighting (20-60 volts DC)
- Alarms for SPD, HVAC, high temp, heater and intrusion “normally open”
- 2000-watt DC HVAC, 1 RU heater tray, and wall-mounted battery heater operating at <60 dB
- DC battery backup via 7 RU tray/cabling to support 1x string of 4x 48 V DC VRLA batteries (customer provided)
- 30-amp 125/250 V Generac generator power inlet box supporting manual transfer switch use
Passive compartment features:
- Preinstalled SC/UPC to SC/APC patch cords for splitter or passthrough connectivity
- 22 standard PNP splitter/WDM slots allowing single/dual/2xN split
- Integrated slack storage with positive bend radius control
- Distribution field terminates 144- or 288-fiber SC/APC fiber on CommScope’s vetted Gen3E swing frame
- Fibers managed via vertical distribution and waterfalled optical device pigtails
- Parking lots hold and protect fiber splitter and passthrough outputs until needed
- Grounding stud installed for use with armored cable tone wire
- F2 cable assembly uses a 144- or 288-fiber loose tube cable (dielectric or armored) stub
