ATX - Areca Hybrid Supercapacitor 19-Inch Rackmount Modules 48V
Features:
- Green/Environmentally Friendly
- Safe — No risk of thermal runaway
- Long Lifespan/Cycle Life
- Wide operating temperature
- High energy transfer efficiency
- 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD)
- Low maintenance
Areca™ Hybrid Supercapacitors concentrate standby power within a smaller footprint than existing storage options, assisting operators in reclaiming valuable real estate in both inside facilities and outdoor sites. The eco-friendly solution stores energy electrostatically, rather than electrochemically, and poses no risks of chemical leaks or thermal runaway, a chemical event that could cause VRLA or Lithium-based batteries to ignite or be shutdown.
ATX’s Areca 19-Inch Hybrid Supercapacitor Rackmount Modules are designed for 48V environments and are compatible with existing powering systems, enabling service providers to seamlessly and gradually upgrade their battery-based backup infrastructures. The modules are configured to supply 3.17kWh of energy storage, feature a 100% Depth-of-Discharge rating and requires minimal maintenance over a 15 to 20-year lifespan.
The Smart Choice for Sustainable Backup Power
ATX’s revolutionary hybrid supercapacitor backup power technology reduces costs, increases reliability and gives operators a cleaner, safer alternative to valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) and Lithium-Ion batteries. The Hybrid Supercapacitor Energy Storage Solution is long-lasting, spaceefficient and designed to accommodate future infrastructure expansion, not to mention 100% recyclable. By utilizing the hybrid supercapacitor during peak electric rate hours — known as peak shaving — service providers can significantly cut energy costs and quickly gain back their capital investment, realizing significant energy savings over its long lifespan.
Reducing carbon footprints for a greener, healthier tomorrow is a priority for today’s cable and telecommunications industries. ATX is committed to helping broadband service providers migrate to cleaner, safer energy storage and backup power solutions that can also save them money as they expand the reach and performance of their networks. Adopting a hybrid supercapacitor-based energy storage solution, which blends the best attributes of Lithium-Ion batteries and Electric Double Layer Capacitors (EDLC), sets MSOs on the right path to achieving sustainability while improving network reliability and reducing capital and operational costs.
Hybrid Supercapacitor technology:
- Accelerates the reduction of carbon footprints
- Is safer and has a longer lifespan than VRLA and Lithium — type batteries
- Provides an eco-friendly alternative to electrochemical-based lead-acid and Lithium-Ion technologies
- Aids in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives for a greener, more reliable and sustainable power infrastructure
