Adapters are dual purpose accessories to our steel U-Guards for use when underground cables are in conduit at the pole. First they shroud the conduit riser and couple the U-Guard. Second, they provide a protected air inlet for venting the U-Guard Riser. This chimney effect venting eliminates the necessity for cable re-rating because of elevated temperatures in the riser.
